Why Hire a Feng Shui Consultant?

1. Plain and simple: We don't see our own stuff.  We become anesthetized to our own homes. We don't "see" the pile of clutter next to our bed or the blocking wall when we walk into our house. We are so used to these issues, we no longer see them. A feng shui consultant will give an objective "read" on your home and see the most pressing issues to deal with. Even a feng shui consultant hires a feng shui consultant.

2. You've read a book (or two) and think you know feng shui. Not so. Feng shui is an oral tradition – meaning that you need to be in a classroom, asking and hearing questions from various people, having different instructors with different perspectives. Feng shui is such a complex discipline, you can study it for years and still learn.

3. A consultation is often multi-dimensional. It's not just what you see in the space, but includes the energy of the inhabitants using their birth date. Feng shui consultants often link the inhabitants energy to the energy of the building and see how they can help you tap into the energy for health and wealth.

4. Intuition – Many consultants are intuitive and can feel subtle energy that you may not be conscious of. They can help you clear out poor energy and replace it with your positive intentions with a space clearing and blessing for your home.

5. And finally, there's a good chance you'll get the feng shui wrong and do more harm.  For instance, there are different ways to apply the energy grid (aka bagua map) to your home. One rule is to use the front door, but that is not always the case. A skilled feng shui consultant will know the best placement or remedy for your unique situation.
