Using Feng Shui to Find Your New Home

So often I am contacted to do a feng shui for recently purchased real estate. And when I get there I see some obvious features in the property, the neighborhood and/or the home that I have to “remedy.” And that is the beauty of feng shui. We can remedy almost any poor feature or design, but feng shui is so much more than remedies.

Start with the Land

My teachers taught me that feng shui is 90% about the land (or more!). If you are on good land, you are in great shape! Then you can employ feng shui remedies to give you even more of a positive boost. But if the “land” is poor, feng shui can only do so much to improve on it.

Then, the Building

Some structures are just very poor feng shui and need a lot of feng shui support balance out. Why purchase a home that will require many feng shui remedies just to get to neutral?

Using Feng Shui to Purchase a Home

When client’s hire me to find them ocean front homes on Hilton Head Island, I give them a short “Feng Shui 101” including a one-page tip sheet on what to look for and what to avoid. I also use their birth data to determine their best directions so that they can use this in their search. Once they have a few properties in mind, I review them online and give my guidance. And lastly, if local to Long Island, when it comes time to give a bid or in contract, I go on-site with them and do a walk-through.

Then, once feng shui is employed, you already have a powerful space to achieve your goals and dreams.
